Diving at Bangor Aurora
Bangor Aurora Aquatic & Leisure Complex is committed to developing the sport of diving within Northern Ireland and aim to grow the programme to be the true home for diving in Northern Ireland.
Our aim is to provide a quality diving programme, offering fun, progression and achievement, leading to competitive opportunities. We are actively working to expand the programme to allow participants to follow a progressive pathway, achieving many skills and dives along the way. Our programme runs on 10 week blocks, allowing measurable targets to be met by divers.
We believe that diving can start from the very young and many skills can be learnt without even entering the water. These programmes allow young children to learn the basic skills for diving through agility, balance and coordination in the safety and controlled set up of our dryland facility
Our poolside lesson programme follows the ASA Diving Award Scheme. Divers must be able to swim at least 25m and be confident in deep water.
