Are you retired? Looking for a new challenge or simply wanting to stay fit? Then our Active Ageing Programme is perfect as it is a great way to meet new people and engage in physical activity and keep fit.
The activities area all low impact and consist of group and independent sessions and after the activity why not catch up over a coffee with friends in our café.
Our activities include swimming, gym, walking football, walking netball, pilates, tai chi, dance, circuits and strength & balance.

“Sit less” started out as a Queens University Case study aimed at providing a low impact exercise alternative for all within the age category of 50yrs+. Sit-Less circuits is a circuits class where everyone goes at their own pace and is designed to increase cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength and bone density through mimicking everyday movements.

This programme is designed and delivered to help improve physical strength, flexibility, balance and mental awareness. With a focus on building your core, it can help support proper posture and lower back strength.

We can’t recommend this program highly enough for our Active Aging members looking to become slightly more sure footed, and to improve their ‘Strength and Balance’ in their daily activities helping to reduce potential trips and falls.
Wednesday Sports Hall 10:00-11:00
Soft martial art often practised for its health-giving and spiritual benefits; it is non-competitive, gentle, and generally slow-paced. Studies have shown that it can help people aged 65 and over to reduce stress, improve posture, balance and general mobility, and increase muscle strength in the legs.

Join Pele, Maradona and Barresi, (ok maybe not) and all those from age 55+ in enjoying the sport of football, without all that running! We occasionally try to arrange friendlies with other groups and join in tournaments across the country.

Join us for an hour or fun and relaxed walking netball. This session is perfect if you've never played netball, or if you haven't played since school.
