Class Descriptions

Aqua Fit

Jump right into our aqua classes and build cardiovascular fitness and strength. Just like swimming, our Aqua Fit classes are easy on your joints, yet challenging enough to help you reach new levels of fitness, Because of their low-impact format, Aqua Fit classes are suitable for every age and fitness level, from beginning exercisers through elite athletes. Participants may bring and use their own water shoes and gloves

Advanced Rec

This is a class for gymnasts who are at the higher end of recreational or they don't want to go down the competition route.  During the class gymnasts will follow a lesson plan, this lesson plan will continue over a couple of months due to the skills they will be learning, for example walkovers and backflips. This group will also follow the badge system and are working towards badge 1, bronze, silver and gold. 


Body Balance

Ideal for anyone and everyone, BODYBALANCE™* is the yoga-based class that will improve your mind, your body and your life.

During BODYBALANCE an inspired soundtrack plays as you bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves and embrace elements of Tai Chi and Pilates. Breathing control is a part of all the exercises, and instructors will always provide options for those just getting started. You’ll strengthen your entire body and leave the class feeling calm, centered and happy.

Body Combat

BODYCOMBAT™ is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness and burn up to 740 calories* in a class. No experience needed. Learn moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu. Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ. Bring your best fighter attitude and leave inhibitions at the door.

Body Conditioning

It’s a whole body workout that can improve your overall fitness, which also makes it one of our most versatile classes. Body Conditioning classes can get you in great shape and feel great about your body.  Focusing on strength, muscular endurance and fitness conditioning, these classes will help to develop a strong and toned physique and also enhances cardio fitness.
Body conditioning classes involve a high energy, high impact workout, which typically involves a combination of aerobics and toning. This mixed all-around workout is for all parts of your body giving you a high-intensity workout that hits the parts that other classes miss.  It can be great fun but it's always a lot of hard work so commitment levels must be high as must your motivation.


Body Pump

BODYPUMP™ is for anyone looking to get lean and toned.
The original barbel class. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. It will burn up to 590 calories*. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more.



Based on programs used to whip new military recruits into shape, fitness boot camp classes aren’t for the faint of heart. These high-intensity workouts deliver results in a total-body approach, combining sprint intervals bodyweight exercises, and high-intensity moves like kicking and punching. The key: limiting rest time in between each move to get the heart rate up and burning calories fast. A class lasts 30 minutes and can burn around 300 calories, building strength and aerobic capacity all at the same time. Plus, with a dedicated instructor and group of friends all sweating together, it’s easy to stay motivated and go for that last crunch.


Circuit classes are fast-paced classes in which gym members enjoy a fun action-packed multi station group exercise class. Making it perfect for those who can’t decide on a right exercise, circuits helps put variety back into your workouts. With no coordination required, participants begin at a particular station and exercises for 30 seconds to 2 minutes per station. The instructor times each workout station and when times up, gym goers then moves onto another free station to exercise. Circuits are a great way to breakup your gym workout routine and can help you exercise more efficiently in a short amount of time.

Development squad

This class is a competition class that will do 2-4 hours per week. Throughout the week gymnasts will work on their moves and conditioning on one day and acrobatics and conditioning on the other day. Gymnasts are put together in either a pair (2) or a trio (3), we will organise 1 competition for the gymnasts to compete in and invite other clubs for a friendly, and our aim is to have many of our gymnasts compete in at least 1 friendly competition a year. 

Elite squad

This is a competition squad, the age groups are from 7 years to 17 years.  This class trains up to 10 hours per week, focusing on conditioning and acrobatic work. Gymnasts will take part in 3 or more competitions a year, whilst trying to qualify for the British Championships


This is a class for 3 and 4 year olds our goal is for them to learn their fundamentals skills - for example jumping and landing, balancing, rolling and being able to follow instructions. During our lessons we will start with a fun game followed by a warm up then split into groups for 20 minutes. Our lesson plan stays the same for 1 month and then will change slightly for progression. Kindergym will follow the badge system and will work on badges 8 and 7. 



LES MILLS GRIT™ Strength is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, designed to improve strength and build lean muscle. This workout uses barbell, weight plate and body weight exercises to blast all major muscle groups. LES MILLS GRIT Strength takes cutting edge HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches who will be down on the floor with you, motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast.


LES MILLS GRIT™ Plyo is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) plyometric-based workout, designed to make you perform like an athlete. This workout uses a bench and combines explosive jumping exercises with agility training to increase explosiveness and to build a lean and athletic body. LES MILLS GRIT Plyo takes cutting edge HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches who will be down on the floor with you motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast.


LES MILLS GRIT™ Cardio is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, increase speed and maximise calorie burn. This workout uses a variety of body weight exercises and provides the challenge and intensity you need to get results fast. LES MILLS GRIT Cardio takes HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches who will be down on the floor with you, motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast.

Pilates Classes

This popular class works on both mind and body, strengthening muscles and developing flexibility while giving you the time and space to relax. At the heart of a Pilates workout is a strong core. You’ll work on strengthening your core, which leads to better posture. You’ll then work from your centre outwards, building strength and flexibility with a mixture of resistance, repetition, dynamic movement and stretching. Pilates is one of a few disciplines of exercise that are both challenging and calming at the same time. At the end of your Pilates class you should feel relaxed but like you’ve had an intense workout, and the results will quickly show in a strong, supple body and calmer state of mind. Pilates class’s focus just as much on the joints and bones as they do on the muscles. With your spine aligned and healthier joints you’ll walk taller, sit straighter and feel more flexible.


This is a class split into 2 age groups, junior rec is p1-p4 and senior rec is p5 upwards our aim in this class is for all gymnasts to have fun throughout the class but also learn the basic skills of gymnastics - for example different types of rolling, bridge, handstands and cartwheels we also will keep the same lesson plan for 1 month and then slightly change with progression, we will always have handstand and cartwheels in every plan as this is one of the hardest moves to achieve. Our recreational gymnasts will follow the badge system, junior Rec will follow badges 6,5 and 4 and senior Rec will follow 3,2 and 1. 



RPM™ tunes you in to great music and takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. 

You control your own resistance levels and speed so you can build up your training level over time. Your instructor will show you how to set up your bike and all the basic cycling moves. If you want a true sense of achievement, get into a RPM class today.


In a STEP class you combine basic stepping with moves like push ups and weight plate exercises to work the upper body. If you fancy quicker stepping and the chance to showcase your rhythm and flair then
STEP is the way to go. There are always lots of options to get you through the workout safely.
Our bubbly and approachable instructors coach you through the workout. We play invigorating, hit music and inject a whole lot of fun and personality along the way. You can burn up to 620 calories* and you’ll leave buzzing with satisfaction


The term yoga comes from a Sanskrit word which means yoke or union. On the physical level, yoga postures, called asanas, are designed to develop tone, increase flexibility, strengthen, and align the body.These postures are performed to make the spine supple and healthy and to promote blood flow to all the organs, glands, and tissues, keeping all the bodily systems healthy.  The postures are demanding and challenging and as a result they build strength quickly. Every part of the body is worked in the practice. The classes are quick paced and are just the thing to open your tight hamstrings, hips and shoulders.  All levels of ability are catered for and various options are given to accommodate all, from the novice to the experienced yogi.
Zumba  is a Latin-inspired cardio-dance workout that uses music and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere. While many of the types of dance and music featured in the program are Latin American inspired, classes can also contain everything from jazz to African beats to country to hip-hop and pop.
